Ride Nipomo was founded in 2002 by a dedicated group of volunteers,  determined to protect and expand the horse trails in the local Nipomo area. The hard work has paid off, and we helped local government and developers recognize the equestrian community's needs. 

Throughout the history of Ride Nipomo, we have helped protect and expand trail systems in all parts of San Luis Obispo County as well as contributing our collective voice to Santa Barbara and Monterey Counties' equestrian issues. 

Ride Nipomo is still an all-volunteer, non-profit (501.3C) organization. The dedicated Board Members and our wonderful associates are the key to continuing our mission to save our equestrian life.
